Westmeath Community Development, acting as the Irish partner in the EU BIOREGIONS

project, would like to invite all stakeholders, agencies, organisations and persons active or

interested in the development of Bioenergy / Biomass to attend and particpate in a morning

seminar and an afternoon workshop on the development of a regional Bioenergy industry in

County Westmeath and the wider Midlands Region.

Green Works

Green Works courses are aimed at educating and upskilling the workforce, preparing students for the growing opportunities within Ireland’s Green Economy. These courses are free to jobseekers and available in Dublin, Cork, Sligo and Tipperary. The areas of increased activity within the construction industry in the coming years will mainly be in retrofitting and energy efficiency. The Green Works Green Building Programme is designed to provide students with the necessary skills needed to work in these areas of construction over the next decade and beyond.

 

Modules Available: Green Building, Environmental Design of Buildings, Building Energy Rating Assessment, Renewable Energy Systems, Thermal Insulation Installation, Sustainable Heritage, Domestic Energy Management, Passive House Planning Package, LEED and Retrofit Workshops

Easca's Monthly Network Meeting

Join us for our  monthly meetings combining presentations and discussions to explore a range of issues in ecological building. Meetings are held at The Greenhouse, 17 St Andrews Street, D2, on the third Tuesday of every month starting at 6 pm.  Upcoming meetings are on the following dates: 23 November 10, 21 December 10, 18 January 11, 15 February 11, 15 March 11, 19 April 11, 17 May 11

These meetings are free and are open to all in the industry and anyone who is interested in green building.
